A QSL card (from our group Sun Country ARS) will be available

to all Ham Radio Operators that work any of the

(4) RT 66 '17 Convoy On-The-Air Special Event Stations.

We have designed only (1) qsl card - that will include

ALL (4) special call signs. 

We will add a "Clean Sweep" marker for making contact

with ALL (4) call signs. 


Please WAIT until the event has concluded, and

combine all of your qso contacts onto (1) of your QSL cards -

there is no need to submit separate qsl cards for each contact made.

We will provide QSL cards via direct or Eqsl only - 

Eqsl logs will be loaded after the event concludes.

We will provide QSL cards to SWL - Short Wave Listeners -

following the same request guidelines as noted here.

To get your Direct QSL card:


Within the USA: You must include a SASE - (Self Addressed STAMPED Envelope) -
If a SASE is NOT included, your QSL request WILL NOT be processed by
the Convoy On-The-Air Host Station in Ocala, FL
From outside the USA: DX stations must include a SAE - (Self Addressed Envelope) -
along with $2 US 'green stamps' (NO IRCís) to cover the cost of foreign postage.
NO IRC's will be accepted and a QSL bureau will NOT be used.

Dates of operation:   Sept 16 - Oct 14, 2017 - the whole month of the
Convoy On-The-Air Special Event
Location of station operations:   SCARS members homes in the Marion & Levy County areas on Florida.
Bands:   2M (simplex) through 160M - as conditions allow
Modes:   SSB voice, PSK31, CW
The Event Coordinators for the Route 66 2017 
Military Vehicle Convoy On-The-Air Special Event
are members of Sun Country Amateur Radio Society
Route 66 2017 MVPA Convoy On-The-Air consists of
(4) Special Event Call Signs
with the 1x1 call sign "suffix" that spell "MVPA"
Each special call sign will ONLY be used during 1 of the 4 weeks the
Convoy will be traveling along their month-long journey. 
Week # 1 - K4M - Sept 16th thru Sept 22nd
Week #2 - K4V - Sept 23rd thru Sept 29th
Week #3 - K4P - Sept 30th thru Oct 6th
Week #4 - K4A - Oct 7th- Oct 14th

All of the Military Vehicles photos have been provided by & used with the consent of the Individual Vehicle Owners, for which we offer our sincere gratitude. 
Most of the vehicles displayed participated in the entire route -
from Chicago, IL to Santa Monica, CA 
for the entire 2432 miles the MVPA RT 66 '17 Convoy traveled along the Original 1926 Route 66 Highway.
